they are allways broadcasted on friday afternoon, at Radio 10. Nowadays (2018), Sven is getting more mixes than he can broadcast. After a while other people started sending their mixes too. Some of the early starters where Bernd Loorbach, Yuri Verstappen (Sidekick in the show), Gert-Jan Kuipers and Alex Giacomini. From September 2014 the show aired on Radio 10.Ī specific format was not decided yet.
Till August 2014 itwas broadcasted on Veronica. The manager agreed and the Somertijd Weekend Dance Mix was born. Sven asked the Musicmanager at Veronica if that was posssible. The Bond van Doorstarters was finished but mixing was still a big hobby for a lot of people. Sven was Radio DJ at that time in a radioshow called Somertijd, named after Rob van Someren (the lead Dj of the show). Sometime in 2009, some old-school mixers contacted Dj Sven (Yes, the one from The Holiday Rap) at Radio Veronica with the idea to restart the broadcasting of mixes at Radio Veronica.
